David GuentherOwnerDavid has been in the finer-clothing industry since 1982. Educated by some of the world's most renowned master tailors, he continued his clothing and management education through Hart, Schaffner & Marx - as well as Eastern Illinois University.
David's philosophy is simple: "We are one of the country's top clothiers because we take care of our clients from top to bottom. We expertly assist them in fabric and style selection but never ever pressure a client into something they don't want. None of our staff is paid by commission, so they will always show you only the items that seem best for you, not a paycheck! We practice the Golden Rule and treat our clients the way they want to be treated." This customer-centered perspective has helped cultivate a collection of private clientele, including many television and movie personalities, professional athletes and Fortune 500 corporate executives.
An avid sports fan, David is the Official Scorer for a Houston Astros affiliate (he was inducted into the Lancaster JetHawks Hall of Fame in 2009) and is a part-time baseball scout for the Cincinnati Reds. He is also very active in the local community, donates to many charities and serves on the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. David lives in Southern California with his wife, Denise and has two adult children, Krysta and Ricky.
Wilvert DzulTailorWilvert, a man who earned the title "Master Tailor" many years ago, learned his skills, and practiced them with his father as a child. Having moved to Los Angeles from Mexico City, Mexico, in the 1980's, he now is a devoted father and member of the J Davids team, keep him busy throughout the year. His skills as a Master Tailor have qualified him to do tailoring for some of the most prominent figures around, and J Davids is proud to have him over-seeing the tailoring operations, stitch by stitch.
Andre Hollings"Individuality, luxury and confidence never fail," states Andre Hollings. This Tennessee-born pro has extensive experience in retail management and even served as a congressional staffer for Santa Clarita's congressman, the Honorable Howard "Buck" McKeon, prior to joining the J. David's team. Andre's well-developed philosophy of style evolved through careful observation of "The Greats." "You can never err if you walk in the footsteps of Tom Ford, Cary Grant, Gianni Agnelli, Duncan Quinn and others like them," says Andre.
Edward DavtyanEdward Davtyan, was born in the south cacaus region of the world, in the ancient, historical country of Armenia. The deeply woven roots he shares with his birthplace has brought about a new and unique type of flavor to the J Davids entourage. Edward is a certified Radiologic Technologists and aspires to attend medical school to pursue his dream of becoming an Interventional Radiologist. Edward stays involved in the Radiology community and currently serves as Chairman for the California Society of Radiologic Technologists student committee. When not dressed for work, he enjoys the life on the wild side, by exploring the outdoors and embarking on hunting and camping adventures. His passion in being able to serve and help others has landed him in an excellent position at J Davids, where exceptional and quality service is the only way.
Aaron WeberAaron hails from the great state of Wisconsin but has called Valencia "home" since 2005. Upon his arrival in the fashionable Golden State, Aaron was inspired to become more deeply involved in the men's clothing field. "I want to give men the confidence that comes from being well dressed," he explains. When he's not helping clients cultivate their image, Aaron is working towards a college degree in the sciences.
Jack TurpinDevilishly handsome, impeccably dressed and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound are just some of the many ways to describe Jack Turpin. Emerging from the wilds of Kansas City, Missouri, Jack found his way to Valencia and at the age of 19 sought refuge in the haven of fashion that is J. David's Custom Clothiers. Color and pattern are never enemies to Jack; he matches and clashes them at will in his wardrobe. Individuality is paramount to Jack's fashion philosophy and he encourages anyone and everyone to dress true to themselves.
Chris AfsharianChris Afsharian, a new member of the team, brings a flow of energy and excitement with him everywhere he goes. His passion for life makes others around him feel comfortable and makes there time enjoyable. Born in Sydney Australia, and having a European influence, he has a simple yet modern style which includes slim fit designs and basic color schemes. He is studying finance, specifically investments, and he is also learning and researching behavioral finance. He has a long list of interests which allows him to enjoy time and conversation with any customer. These include sports, travel, animals, investments, fashion, religion, psychology and many other random subjects.
Gus RayaGus Raya, a Santa Clarita native, enjoys being part of the local community through local sports leagues and attending city government sessions. Early in life he did not care if clothes matched, let alone fit. But growing up he realized the clothes do make the man. After reading "The Art of Manliness," he was encouraged to act and dress more like a gentleman. That journey has brought him to JDavid's. He enjoys working with young men, and helping them realize good clothes are not just something to wear but the perfect way to express, to the world, their personality.
